Summarized quite simply: design something kind of "stupid" but make it of a high quality. Perhaps other makers/brands do something similar inadvertently; however, for us it’s a nice break from being (overly?) technical and earnest. Process is somewhere between art & design. More loose; if only by a small amount.

Layers held together with traditional wedged tenon joinery.

Each peg is hand turned in our studio. Custom made screw bushings.

EYES: layered hardwood inlays - maple/maple+pigment/black walnut+ebonized.

SPECIES: rail - white oak / eyes - maple, walnut

PEGS: 28” - 5 pegs / 52” - 9 pegs

PEG SPACING: 6” (15cm) o/c

PIGMENT: pthalo blue

FINISH: rail - tobacco color + natural oil finish / eyes- pigment, white oil & ebonized walnut

HARDWARE: brass / blackened

DIMENSIONS: rail - 28" x 2" x 1” (71cm x 5cm x 2.5cm) / peg - 1”Ø x 2.5” length (2.5cm x 6.3cm)

O/C: 18”

Includes all mounting hardware + instructions.

* O/C = on center. Referring to the spacing of mounting screws, whereas 16" matches U.S. stud spacing. Includes hardware for mounting with or without studs.
